Strong Catholic Families is a process that was developed by the National Federation of Catholic Youth Ministry (NFCYM) to respond to the research. The staff of NFCYM has developed a workshop and resources that can be presented to parent groups in parishes. The goal of the workshop would be to motivate parishes and parents to take action in order to help families nurture the faith of their children more effectively.
A new program for parents as well as grandparents. Provides a time for parents to get-together to share ideas of how they keep faith in the family. Also, a time to be involved with the CCD program and other family oriented activities. Everyone can participate. Some of the programs planned are: lock-ins for some age groups, Parent Round Table Discussion, Speaker on Family prayer, Speaker on Faith and Morals at Home/Building Family Traditions and possibly a children’s church during regular Mass. Service projects to do as a family are Cleanup around the outside of church, Pack the Buddy Packs, work at the Food Bank. Came and join.
